THE TRENT GIFTED PROGRAM

The Trent Gifted Program is intended for the academically gifted student looking for an accelerated and specially tailored learning program. By Trent's standards, an academically gifted child is any child under the age of sixteen who has been tested by a state certified psychologist, or has taken the Trent Placement Test and has an IQ of at least 135.

What's the difference between the Trent Gifted Program and the traditional Trent curriculum?

The Trent Gifted Program allows students to advance as quickly as he/she wishes. In this program, students are permitted to test through entire sets of lessons.

A student in the Trent Gifted Program is given more personal attention and is encouraged to attempt more written and hands-on assignments.

If my child is gifted, is she or he required to enroll in the Trent Gifted Program instead of the traditional curriculum?
If you believe you and your student are better suited to the traditional curriculum, you are not required to enroll in the gifted program.

What is included in the Trent Gifted Program?
