Established in 1997, The Trent Schools provides the most thorough and comprehensive homeschooling system available. Trent proudly offers curriculum for grades 1 through 12, along with downloadable lessons and exams. These engaging lessons cover five core subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts.

While Trent provides the curriculum, the daily/weekly lessons, and the exams for each subject area, we are not a distance learning or virtual learning program. The at-home teacher—usually a parent— is the primary teacher and is in charge of the student’s day-to-day learning experience. Trent sends the lessons and tests via email for the at-home teacher to print. Together, the at-home teacher and student cover every subject, every day, and progress through the material at their own pace. Trent offers two options:

1) A traditional program in which the at-home teacher is in complete charge of instruction, test administration, test grading, and forwarding scores to Trent.

2) A traditional program with an online teacher, whereby a certified teacher is available via email to assist the at-home teacher or the student when they request it. In addition, the online teacher grades exams, offers feedback, and answers any questions. Online teachers are strongly recommended when an at-home teacher cannot devote a minimum of 2-3 hours per day, five days a week to homeschool teaching.

The Trent Schools’ programs are available at very reasonable rates and our fees are all-inclusive. There are no hidden or surprise fees and unless an online teacher is requested after initial enrollment, no fees will be added at a later date. There are no shipping or handling fees, no postage to pay, no textbooks to buy, no telephone charges, and no CDs or DVDs to purchase. Our payment plans allow you to find a method that best suits your budget. Tuition costs are for one academic grade—not necessarily a traditional
school year. We welcome all ability levels and understand that some students will finish their lessons earlier than others.
