Established in 1997, The Trent Schools proudly provides the most thorough and comprehensive homeschooling system available. Trent offers curriculum for grades 1 through 12, along with downloadable lessons and exams. These engaging lessons cover five core subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts. While Trent provides the curriculum, the daily/weekly lessons and the exams for each subject area, we are not a distance learning or virtual learning program. The at-home teacher—usually a parent— is the primary teacher and is in charge of the student’s day-to-day learning experience. Trent sends the lessons and tests via email for the at-home teacher to print. Students receive 28 lessons and 7 tests during the year. Each test is 100 questions with 20 in each subject; Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Fine Arts. These tests include a mix of multiple choice, single word and essay questions. Together, the at-home teacher and student cover every subject, every day, and progress through the material at their own pace. It is expected that at-home teacher and student will work together for at least 2-3 hours each day. Trent offers 3 program options.
